WHAT IS TRANSEXUALISME?????

Transsexualism is a condition in which an individual identifies with a physical sex different from the one they were born with. A medical diagnosis can be made if a person experiences discomfort as a result of a desire to be a member of the opposite sex, or if a person experiences impaired functioning or distress as a result of that gender identification.

  1. You have that almost right. A transsexual's identity is as the opposite GENDER. Sex is a secondary factor.
There are three things that are very definitely different. Sex is male or female. Gender is boy or girl. Sexual orientation is heterosexual or homosexual. These combine in all possible ways.
Think for a moment about your friends and relatives. How many of them have you ever seen naked? Probably few or none. Yet you know that your girlfriend is a girl and your uncle is a boy, right? That is gender, the role we play in the world.
I am more than willing to talk about this subject with anyone who is interested. I am one who was born male but has lived as a woman since 1986 and have been physically female since December 1987.

  2. yes..transsexualism is a condition in which a person experiences a discontinuity between their as signed sex and what they feel their core gender is.For example, a person who was identified as "female" at birth, raised as a girl and has lived being perceived by others as a woman may feel that their core sense of who they are is a closer fit with "male" or "man".If this sense is strong and persistent this person may decide to take steps to ensure that others perceive them as a man.In other words, they may decide transition to living as the sex that more closely matches their internal gender.Otherwise, a transsexual person may identify as heterosexual, gay, lesbian or bisexual.
